Application Submission (First Screening) |
The enrollment application can be submitted via our mail form. Please include a family photo – a normal snapshot is fine. |
First Screening Result Notification | Notification of acceptance/rejection and confirmation of second screening interview will be sent by email within a week to 10 days. Application documents will not be returned. All information is confidential and will be used for admission purposes only. |

The interview process will take about 30 minutes. Screening criteria is not disclosed. Our goal is to determine the best fit of children into the environment and policy structure of our school in order to ensure that Aoba-Japan Bilingual Preschool, Nakano, is a suitable place for their early years’ education. Application Fee: 5,000 yen (tax included, non-refundable). |
Second Screening Result Notification |
Notification of acceptance/rejection, together with an official orientation schedule, will be sent by email within a week to 10 days. |
Orientation | The enrollment fee must be paid following the initial 1-hour orientation session. Following this, the student will be officially enrolled. Note: enrollment fees are non-refundable. We appreciate your understanding in regards to this policy prior to payment. |
Enrollment | After enrollment, there is a 2-5-day acclimatization period for the younger group (1 and 2 year olds.) During this initial stage of enrollment they will finish early. Parents are advised to plan accordingly. |
